Jada Tolbert, a junior at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), has received the distinguished “Behind the Camera” Award and Scholarship from the National Arts and Letters Commission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at the 2025 National Convention. Tolbert, a UAPB Multimedia Communication scholar, was one of three winners nationwide of the award.

Perry L. Williams, a recent graduate and former student leader at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), has been named the 112th recipient of the prestigious Guy Levis Grant Award. According to the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s website, the award, named after one of the Fraternity’s 10 founders, is bestowed upon undergraduate members who exhibit extra meritorious contributions to the Fraternity’s advancement. A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, Williams received the award during the Fraternity’s 87th Grand Chapter Meeting.
