Federal College Work-Study

Morris College employs students through the Federal College Work-Study Program. Students who receive a work-study award as part of their financial aid package will be assigned to a job either on or off the college campus. Upper-class students may be assigned to off-campus jobs as part of the Federal College Work-Study / Community Service Program.

Eligibility requirements for Morris College FWS program

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible permanent resident.
  • Demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA and your financial aid package.
  • Have a verified and complete financial aid file with the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Receive confirmation of a Federal Work-Study award on your aid notification.

  • Find a Job: Browse Morris College’s career services site for approved work-study opportunities.
  • Complete Paperwork: Once hired, submit all required employment forms, including tax and payroll documents.
  • Earnings and Payroll: FWS funds are not applied directly to tuition; students are paid wages to use toward educational and personal expenses.
