PURPLE HEART COLLEGE

Honoring Service and Sacrifice

Morris College was designated a Purple Heart College by the Military Order of the Purple Heart, General George L. Mabry, Jr. Chapter 817, in recognition of the college’s support for military members, veterans, and their families.

The designation recognizes Morris College’s commitment to members of the Armed Forces and particularly those who have been wounded during combat while serving the nation. The historical designation identified Morris College as the first college or university in the area to receive the Purple Heart College honor.

The recognition also reflects the College’s broader commitment to veterans through its Veterans Resource Center and its support for students with connections to military service.
