This mother and daughter duo, both UAPB Spring 2025 graduating seniors, are not only honoring a UAPB family and female legacy that Patricia coined as the ‘Wisemon sisters’ UAPB legacy, but also creating a unique and unforgettable Mother’s Day gift, graduating together.

DeAndra Haynes and Caleb Williams, two graduating seniors from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), will be commissioned during the 2025 Spring Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Haynes, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will be commissioned as a second lieutenant health service administration officer with the U.S. Army. Williams, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, will be commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the Arkansas Army National Guard.

A tree-planting ceremony will commemorate the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s (UAPB) 152nd Founders’ Week Celebration and National Arbor Day. It will be a momentous occasion that connects us to our rich history and legacy. This event, scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. near the W.E. O’Bryant Bell Tower on the UAPB campus, is open to all. A Leyland Cypress tree will be planted, marking the start of exciting and historical UAPB Founders’ Week events. Fletcher (’08) as the Associate Dean for the School of Arts and Sciences and an Associate Professor of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering. She returned to UAPB after receiving tenure and promotion at the College of Engineering and Computing at Florida International University (FIU), a Carnegie Research 1 institution.
Brigadier General Tomika M. Seaberry, a 1997 UAPB ROTC Program graduate, has a new assignment, according to an announcement from the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army. Seaberry has been assigned a significant role as Military Deputy Office of the Chief Army Reserve G-3/5/7 (Individual Mobilized Augmentee), Office of the Chief Army Reserve, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She most recently served as Commander (Troop Program Unit), 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Joint Base Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
