Before arriving at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), Jordan Lowe received advice he did not initially understand.
“Pine Bluff is what you make it. It’s easy to see all of the bad things that are wrong with Pine Bluff, but it’s harder to find the good. But when you find the good, it’s gold. I have found the good, and it definitely is gold,” Lowe said. The Memphis, Tennessee native received his Bachelor of Science in Administration and Finance during UAPB’s 172nd commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) honored five graduates with the Chancellor’s Medallion at the Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The Chancellor’s Medallion is UAPB’s highest academic honor, awarded to the top graduate from each school based on cumulative GPA. The ceremony is available on UAPB TV. Notably, the top three overall recipients, Ashley Robinson, Kaiél Kimble, and Cornelia D. The Division of Military Science at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is scheduled to commission four officers, including a set of twins, during the 2025 Fall Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The cadets include twin sisters Kaelyn and Kaiél Kimble of Houston, Texas; Zaria Moore of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Jakhyris Williams of Cleveland, Mississippi. The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program provides the Army with quality, competent, agile, and adaptive leaders as commissioned officers. Students who participate in the program enhance their understanding of leadership and have a greater appreciation for excellence.

This annual technology innovation challenge brings together some of the nation’s brightest college students to design, prototype, and present creative technological solutions to pressing real-world issues.
Over an intense 24-hour period, students collaborated in a high-energy environment to develop and pitch their innovative concepts.

Mari’Neisha Hardrick, a student at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), where she honed her voice, strengthened her purpose, and learned the power of storytelling, is preparing to take the next bold step in her journey. The UAPB Department of Multimedia Communication (DMMC) Fall 2025 graduating senior—known for her passion for media justice, cultural representation, and community-centered storytelling—will soon leave the familiar halls of UAPB with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the UAPB School of Arts & Sciences. In the Fall of 2026, she will begin pursuing a Master of Arts from the University of Alabama’s Graduate School, College of Communication & Information Sciences, Journalism and Media Studies.

For the first time in nearly a decade, five students from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) attended the 12th Annual National HBCU Pre-Law Summit, held in Atlanta, Georgia. The event, founded by attorney and educator Evangeline M. Mitchell, Esq., Ed.M., is the nation’s only pre-law event dedicated exclusively to empowering HBCU students interested in pursuing careers in law, according to its website.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will host its 172nd commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, located at 1 Convention Center Plaza. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., with the processional starting at 9:45 a.m. UAPB is thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of its graduates and the resilience they demonstrated throughout their academic journey. Glover, Associate Professor of Social Work, has been crowned Mrs. USA International Global 2025–2026, marking a historic achievement for the institution.
