UAPB School of Education Playing Pivotal Role in Statewide IPSE Program

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will play a central role in a new statewide initiative to expand Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) opportunities for students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, following the award of approximately $2 million in federal funding to Arkansas State University over the next five years. The initiative will help campuses strengthen transition pathways and practical skill-building programs across the state. As part of this work, UAPB is introducing a new program within the School of Education and welcomes Robbin Hudson Huntley, Program Coordinator, who will oversee campus activities and serve as the primary contact for students, families, and community partners seeking additional information.

UAPB’s Thanksgiving Food Drive Unites Campus and Community

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) celebrated another impactful opportunity to serve as the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership hosted its Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive this November at the entrance of the L. A. Davis Student Union. Remembering UAPB Alumni and The Golden Thirteen for Veterans Day 2025

For Veterans Day 2025, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is highlighting some of its distinguished veteran alumni. Lt. Col. (Retired) Grover L. Gibson, ’70, recently highlighted the achievements of Jesse Walter Arbor and Dalton L. Baugh, Sr., fellow alumni of Arkansas Agricultural, Mechanical and Normal College (AM&N), now UAPB. Their accomplishments broke the Navy’s color barrier for officer ranks, paving the way for future African American servicemembers. Arbor and Baugh were members of the U.S. Navy’s Black Officer Training Program, known as The Golden Thirteen.

UAPB Observes National POW/MIA Recognition Day

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is solemnly observing National POW/MIA Recognition Day on September 19, 2025.  This significant day, marked annually on the third Friday of September, is a profound tribute to prisoners of war (POW) and those still missing in action (MIA). It is a call for all Americans to deeply reflect on the sacrifices of our military service members and their families, and to proudly fly the POW/MIA flag in recognition of this unwavering commitment.

UAPB STEM Summer Institute Concludes with Transformative Success

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) proudly announces the successful completion of its 2025 STEM Summer Institute, a five-week program designed to inspire, challenge, and equip the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This year’s institute brought together 31 scholars from across Arkansas and several out-of-state locations.
