Mark Your Calendars: UAPB’s Founders’ Week Starts Monday with a Tree Planting Ceremony

A tree-planting ceremony will commemorate the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s (UAPB) 152nd Founders’ Week Celebration and National Arbor Day. It will be a momentous occasion that connects us to our rich history and legacy.   This event, scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. near the W.E. O’Bryant Bell Tower on the UAPB campus, is open to all. A Leyland Cypress tree will be planted, marking the start of exciting and historical UAPB Founders’ Week events. The Art of Fine Dining: A Skill Set for Scholars at UAPB

A group of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) scholars recently learned the proper protocol and behaviors for interacting with current and prospective employers in a dining setting. The UAPB’s Emerging Scholars Leadership Institute (ESLI), a program dedicated to fostering leadership skills and professional development among students, showcased the art of fine dining as the host of its second annual dining event. The comprehensive table etiquette workshop used a full-course meal as the template for learning.

Book Signing for Alumna Author Saige-Annette Jarrett at UAPB Library

The John Brown John Watson Memorial Library System at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will host a book signing event for author Saige-Annette Jarrett, featuring her latest psychological suspense and romance novel, The Stranger in My Soul. UAPB Alumna Trailblazer for Women in the Armed Forces

Brigadier General Tomika M. Seaberry, a 1997 UAPB ROTC Program graduate, has a new assignment, according to an announcement from the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army. Seaberry has been assigned a significant role as Military Deputy Office of the Chief Army Reserve G-3/5/7 (Individual Mobilized Augmentee), Office of the Chief Army Reserve, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She most recently served as Commander (Troop Program Unit), 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Joint Base Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
