University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) Librarian Shenise McGhee was a featured panelist who presented on cutting-edge AI-Powered Smart Tools at the 2025 STEM Librarians South Conference hosted by the University of Texas at Arlington. This annual conference, held both virtually and in-person, brings together STEM librarians from across the United States and beyond to exchange ideas, strategies, and innovations in areas such as library instruction, reference services, collection development, and outreach.

Join Dr. Gladys Turney Finney in conversation with Dr. Kimberley Davis, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) School of Education, Dean and Professor, to commemorate Professor Joseph Carter Corbin and the opening of Branch Normal College (now UAPB) in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, over 150 years ago. Branch Normal College opened the doors to what would become a major center of learning for African Americans in Arkansas, starting with just seven students. Recent UAPB Graduate Receives Prestigious Guy Levis Grant Award

Perry L. Williams, a recent graduate and former student leader at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), has been named the 112th recipient of the prestigious Guy Levis Grant Award. According to the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s website, the award, named after one of the Fraternity’s 10 founders, is bestowed upon undergraduate members who exhibit extra meritorious contributions to the Fraternity’s advancement.  A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, Williams received the award during the Fraternity’s 87th Grand Chapter Meeting.
