Join Dr. Gladys Turney Finney in conversation with Dr. Kimberley Davis, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) School of Education, Dean and Professor, to commemorate Professor Joseph Carter Corbin and the opening of Branch Normal College (now UAPB) in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, over 150 years ago. Branch Normal College opened the doors to what would become a major center of learning for African Americans in Arkansas, starting with just seven students.
