Morris College regrets to announce the postponement of its 16-Hour Law Enforcement Awareness- Based Policing Training, originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Sumter County Patriot Hall in Sumter, South Carolina.
Our featured keynote speaker, Judge Greg Mathis, has informed us of a death in his family that requires his immediate attention. Out of respect for Judge Mathis and his family during this difficult
time, the decision has been made to postpone the training until a later date.
The Morris College family extends its heartfelt condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Judge Mathis and his family as they navigate this time of bereavement.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause and appreciate the understanding, patience, and continued support of our law enforcement partners, registered participants, community organizations, and the general public.
A rescheduled date will be announced as soon as arrangements have been finalized. All registered participants and interested individuals will be notified of the updated training schedule.
We thank you for your continued commitment to the Morris College Awareness-Based Policing Training initiative, funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), U.S. Department of Justice.
