Morris College offers multiple payment methods including online, in person, by mail, and installment plans.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment Schedule
To remain enrolled, you must have a payment arrangement in place by the published deadline. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your class registration. If you cannot attend and would like a full credit of tuition and fees, you must officially drop your courses by the drop/add deadline. After this date, you will not be eligible for a full credit, though you may qualify for a prorated refund based on the withdrawal schedule.
Payment Options
Online
Payments can be made using credit cards, debit cards, or electronic checks through the Morris College Student Portal. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. A small service fee applies to card transactions, but there is no fee for electronic checks.
In Person
Payments are accepted Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Cashier’s Office located in the M.L.K. Jr. Student Union Building. Accepted forms of payment include checks, debit cards, and credit cards. Cash is not accepted.
By Mail
Mail checks or money orders payable to Morris College, Attn: Cashier’s Office, 100 W. College Street, Sumter, SC 29150. Be sure to include the student’s full name and ID number.
Returned Payments
Returned payments will incur a $60 fee. This applies to all returned checks or failed electronic transactions posted to your account.
Financial Aid
Financial aid, including grants, scholarships, and loans, can help cover your college expenses. All aid requirements must be completed by the payment deadline. Any unpaid balance not covered by financial aid must be paid using another method. Financial aid must be authorized to count toward financial clearance.
Installment Plan
Students may spread out tuition, fees, housing, and meal plan costs by enrolling in our installment payment plan. This option provides flexibility by dividing your balance into smaller monthly payments.
Sponsored Billing
If your expenses are covered by an employer, foundation, or outside organization, Morris College offers sponsored billing arrangements. Documentation must be submitted and approved in advance by Student Accounts.
Military Benefits
Eligible veterans and active-duty service members may apply for educational benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Tuition assistance programs, such as ArmyIgnitED, are processed through sponsored billing.
Americorps Vouchers
AmeriCorps members may apply earned education vouchers toward tuition. Requests for funds must first be submitted through the AmeriCorps online system before being applied to your Morris College account.
