Morris College

Academic Hall was built in 1924 and  renovated 1990. It is used for classes of the Division of Business Administration, and the Division of Religion and Humanities, and for several administrative offices including the Office of Student Affairs and the Organizational Management Program.

Charles Gilchrist Adams, C. Mackey Daniels, Marion Woodard Wright McLester, Beatrice Gregg Sanders Residence Hall, built in1998, is a residence hall for women.

Alphonso R. Blake, Willie Edwin Givens, Jr., Arabella H. Rich, Pauline Winston Thompson Student Center, built in 1998, contains food service facilities, the bookstore, post office, game room, meeting room, lounge, student government offices, and student lockers.

The Brawley-Starks Academic Success Center was built in 1932 and renovated 1998. It houses the
Division of General Studies, Student Support Services, the Upward Bound
Program, the Career Services Center, and a large learning laboratory.

The Jasper L. Brooks-Frank H. Ham Graphics Center, built in 1994, houses the college’s printing press and copying facility.

The H. H. Butler Building, built in 1952 and renovated in 2000, houses offices and some classes of the Division of Education and the Division of Social Sciences.

Goings Daniels Hall, built in 1964 and renovated in 2000, is a residence hall and dining facility.

The Forensics Center, built in 2011, supports the Criminal Justice Program and includes two laboratories for genetic testing and one each for fingerprint analysis, ballistics analysis and fire debris and controlled substance analysis. The Center includes two classrooms, two offices, a conference room, a lounge, and a vehicle bay.

The Garrick-Boykin Human Development Center, built in 1991, provides facilities for physical education classes, social and cultural activities, special events, recreation administration classes, and athletic events.

The Mabel K. Howard Building, built in 1954, houses the Office of Counseling and Testing, the Health Center, the Financial Aid Office, the Baptist Women’s Records Room, and Army ROTC Offices.

The Dr. Solomon B. Jackson, Jr., Administration Building was built in 2017 and houses many offices of the college’s administrative and operations units.

The Solomon Jackson, Sr., William McKinley Bowman, Sr., Raymond Carolina Physical Plant Building, built in 2011, includes office spaces, a staff conference room, a lawn maintenance equipment area, storage vaults, workshop areas, and four vehicle bays.

The W. H. Neal-Iola Jones Fine Arts Center, built in1980, contains an auditorium and

instructional facilities for programs in art, music, and theater.

The Pinson Building, constructed in 1946, houses the Office of Business Affairs.

The O. R. Reuben Chapel and Religious Center, built in 1996, contains a sanctuary for special religious worship services. The Religious Center contains the Office of the College Minister and offices and classrooms for faculty in the area of religion.

J. O.Rich-S. C. Cureton-Ed F. Johnson Hall, built in 1993, is a residence hall for men.

The L. C. Richardson-W. A. Johnson Learning Resources Center, built in 1980, contains

the College’s library and media facilities.

Student Health and Wellness Center, built in 2012, contains office and classroom space for the health science, recreation administration, and ROTC programs; an office for the center director; and a fitness area, which includes state-of-the-art Nautilus exercise equipment.

The Bertie B. White Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, completed 2010, serves to nurture, promote, and enhance teaching excellence among faculty members and to enhance student learning.

Wilson-Booker Science Hall, built in 1967 and expanded in 2013, houses programs of the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
