Dear Morris College Family,
I am pleased to announce that the national search for Morris College’s next president is underway. Selecting the next president is one of the most important decisions our Board of Trustees will make. The search is designed to be inclusive, collaborative and transparent. We are committed to actively seeking a diverse pool of exceptional candidates who can embrace and enhance our rich Morris College legacy of educational impact and service.
Our Board of Trustees selected Greenwood Asher & Associates, LLC as our experienced and expert partners in this critical endeavor. Greenwood Asher, a division of Kelly Services, is a woman-founded firm with a diverse recruiting and consulting team. Our consulting team includes Marion Frenche, Associate Vice President of Executive Search and Julie Holley, Associate Vice President of Executive Search. Since 1992, Greenwood Asher has successfully completed more than 2,000 searches. The firm has conducted president/chancellor searches for a wide array of institutions across the country, including HBCUs and/or private, liberal arts colleges.
Our Board of Trustees assembled a 12-member Presidential Search Advisory Committee. Trustee Dr. James Blassingame will serve as Chair and Trustee Dr. Hilda Gadsden will serve as Vice Chair of the Presidential Search Committee. Our Search Committee consists of a broad representation from across our College and includes faculty, staff, students, alumni and members of the Sumter community. Our Search Committee will review, interview, and evaluate candidates in order to recommend finalists to our Board of Trustees.
Please visit the Morris College Presidential Search website at morris.edu where you will find details on how you can participate in upcoming listening sessions, give feedback via the survey below, review the leadership profile, share your recommendations/nominations and provide feedback to our Search Committee and our expert partners Greenwood Asher.
