Worked as Qualified Mental Retardation Specialist with the State of Georgia, Department of Mental Health/Mental Illness/Substance Abuse.
Received numerous awards and certificates (training) in the area of MH/MI/SA and Behavioral training in working with individuals with behavioral issues.
Retired after 25 years of services December 31, 1997.
Employed by Creative Consulting Services as Support Coordinator for Special needs individuals 1997-2007.
Served as President of Morris College Atlanta Alumni Chapter 15 years.
Served 4 years as First Vice President of Morris College National Alumni Association.
Currently serving as President of Morris College National Alumni Association.
Currently serving as President of Mt. Ephraim Baptist Church Christian League, National Baptist USA, INC. Ushers Auxiliary, Georgia Missionary Baptist State and district Ushers Ministry.
Currently resides in Decatur, GA.
Married to Dr. Levester Pendergrass, a 1969 graduate of Morris College.
Three daughters, Levetta M. Pendergrass, Amber L. Pendergrass of Atlanta, GA, LeRuth P. Bell (Ray) and two grandsons whom she adores of Avon, CT.
