The Alpha Gamma Pi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society welcomed six new members during its fall induction ceremony Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 6:15 p.m. in the O.R. Reuben Chapel and Religious Center.
Ms. Priscilla Patten, the Society’s Lead Chapter Advisor, gave a rousing speech entitled, “These Are the Deltans” where she presented the officers of the chapter, informed the audience about the academic accomplishments of current members and alumni, and reminded the Deltans of the Society’s motto, “Transforming the World with Words.”
Mr. Jeremiah S. Robinson, Vice President of the Alpha Gamma Pi Chapter, presided over the induction ceremony. The chapter officers conducted the ceremony:

The following Morris College students were inducted into Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society:
The evening culminated with all members (new and old) affirming and reaffirming their commitment to Sigma Tau Delta. Ms. Patrice Cooper, co-advisor, gave Deltans the following advice: “I urge scholars to take advantage of every opportunity such as applying for scholarships and internships, running for office, writing papers and articles, attending conferences, and getting involved in campus activities.” Dr. Delores Wallace-Brown, co-advisor, gave Deltans this pearl of wisdom: “Continue to utilize your gifts of reading and writing and continue to soar because there are endless possibilities.”
A reception was held in the atrium of the Religious Center.
