16 students inducted into International English Honor Society

On Thursday, April 4, 2019, sixteen Morris College students were inducted into the Alpha Gamma Pi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society. 

The Chapter is celebrating 25-years of academic excellence at the illustrious institution.  

Chapter President, Michael D. Brown, greeted family, friends, and inductees before the formal induction. The formal induction ceremony included a society pledge, a society pin, and an award certificate for the students that came from a number of different academic backgrounds. 

The Chapter’s lead advisor, Ms. Priscilla Patten, held back tears of joy as she gave remarks following the ceremony. 

There are a number of Sigma Tau Deltans at Morris College including: Mrs. Thoma Williams, Assistant Professor of Developmental English, Ms. Johnell Rogers, Director of Health Sciences, Ms. Priscilla Patten Assistant Professor of Developmental English, Mr. Michael D. Finkely, Admissions Counselor, Dr. Cherry Harmond-Early, Assistant Professor of English who is a 30-year member, Dr. Kay Rhoads, Director of Academic Administrative Service, who is a 60-year member and the college president Dr. Leroy Staggers.
