Morris College Partners With Sumter School District To Host Cyber Security Awareness Day Event
Morris College to partner with three schools within the Sumter County School District to host Cyber Security Awareness Day
(SUMTER, S.C.) – October has been nationally designated as Cybersecurity Awareness Month and Morris College has allocated Tuesday, October 22, 2019, as Cybersecurity Awareness Day.
The four-year liberal arts college will partner with three schools within the Sumter School District to celebrate this exciting event. Students from Cherryvale Elementary School (70), Furman Middle School (46), and Lakewood High School (24) will participate in the event.
The two-hour celebration will begin at 10 a.m. outside of the Wilson-Booker Science Building. Students will receive information about cybersecurity, receive safety tips for online web browsing, learn about the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Morris College, receive hands-on experience with robots, drones, and other forensic demonstrations, while enjoying food, music, and more!
