Morris alumnus, Michael Brown, was named one of the keynote speakers at the United Way Kickoff Luncheon in the Upstate.
Brown is a Texas native and a recent graduate of Morris College. He received his bachelors in elementary education on May 4, 2019. A natural-born leader, he has always had a passion for learning. During his four years at Morris College, he was a member of many clubs and organizations.
Before receiving his degree, Brown had already secured a teaching position in Pickens County at Gettys Middle School. Though he is a first-year teacher, he began his work in the School District of Pickens County while at Morris College through the Call Me MiSTER Program. Through Call Me MiSTER, he served as an intern in the Camp iRock program, where he helped to build students love for reading over the summer.
