Reverend Dr. Michael Runnels, Pastor of Greater Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, delivered a powerful message on "A New Look at Life" during Religious Emphasis Week!

Dr. Runnels delivered seven different messages over a four-day period during the morning and evening worship services in the Neal-Jones Auditorium.

The theme “A New Look at Life” carries a message of the eternal life God gave to all “and this eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” - John 17:3

He received his Associates of Arts degree from Chicago Baptist Institute before he went on to receive his B.A. degree from Trinity College in Newberg, IN. Following his undergraduate journey, Dr. Runnels received his M.A. degree from McCormick Theological Seminary School back in his home of Chicago.

He is a member of the Baptist Ministers Fellowship of Chicago and Vicinity and is married to Jenetta Potts Runnels.

The two have six wonderful, talented children and ten beautiful grandchildren.

His son Willie Runnels is the pastor of new Zion City Missionary Baptist Church.
