Freshmen students who decided to “Make it Morris” for Fall 2021, were fortunate to be the first to experience brand new furniture! After viewing furniture samples and quotes from several companies, Morris College contracted with Sauder Education to obtain high-quality furniture from their Beechwood Collection. Each room in RCJ (Freshman males) was outfitted with two 4-drawer dressers, and each room in AMMA (Freshman females) was outfitted with two 3-drawer chests and two closet wardrobes. The Huntington Maple-colored furniture pieces fit beautifully in the rooms and received rave reviews from the students and residential staff. "We are excited and look forward to more residential hall upgrades in the future," said T. Teresa Washington, Director of Residential Life.
