Jasmine Abraham is a native of Lake View, SC, and was born on October 1st of 2000 to James and Tonya Abraham. She is the youngest of two children, with an older brother Jaminson Abraham (wife - Chardia Curtis and daughter Kayden Abraham). She was raised in Florence, SC for most of her adolescent years up until her sophomore year at Wilson High School. Her parents then relocated to Columbia, SC where she graduated from Richland Northeast High School.
After graduating on June 6th of 2019, Jasmine was off to Morris College on June 10th to begin the Fast Track Program. This program provided her the opportunity to graduate a semester early, but Jasmine saw fit to add a minor in Mass Communications with her major in English. With a commitment to academic excellence, Jasmine has maintained a consecutive 3.0 GPA since her enrollment. She was named an O.R Reuben Scholar for consistently making the Dean's List, and during the summer of 2022, she was named a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Jasmine was also inducted into the Alpha Gamma Pi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society for her outstanding GPA in English, and she has served as Miss Sigma Tau Delta. Jasmine is also a proud member of the prestigious Pi Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and after her initiation in the fall of 2020, she served as chapter president for three terms. She is also a member of the NAACP.
A stellar student leader and student ambassador who leads by example, Jasmine is a totally engaged student who enjoys serving and assisting others. In her spare time, she enjoys styling her wardrobe, writing poetry, watching K-dramas, drinking Starbucks beverages, and procrastinating. Her favorite scripture is Galatians 6:9- And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.” The quote she uses to describe herself at this point in her life is, “I am so Hip, even my errors are correct.” (Nikki Giovanni - Ego Tripping).
Jasmine is humbled and honored for the amazing opportunity to serve as your 2022-2023 and 69th Miss Morris College.
Ty’Shawn De'Ondre Taylor was born on August 5, 2002 in Florence, South Carolina to Ms. Tanya McFadden and Mr. Marcus Taylor, and he is the youngest of three siblings. Ty’Shawn is a 2019 graduate of South Florence High School in Florence, South Carolina, and he entered Morris College in the fall of 2019. With a focus on academic excellence as his highest priority, Ty’Shawn proudly serves as Mister Morris College, and he serves in several organizations to include the Student Ambassadors, Student Leaders, Student Government Association, The Men of Morris, NAACP, and Track and Field.
With plans to become a criminal defense attorney and eventually become a judge, Ty’Shawn plans to attend the University of South Carolina after graduation to pursue a master’s degree in political science. His motto for life is “We have the power to cause change and own our future.” Ty’Shawn comes from a strong family support system that motivates him to always strive to reach his full potential and to always be and do the best he can in life. He is a firm believer in God and understands that he could not have achieved this dream without the strength God has given him. TyShawn’s ultimate goal is to someday become one of the best criminal defense attorneys in the country.
In his spare time, Ty’Shawn enjoys playing basketball, watching his favorite NFL team (the Philadelphia Eagles) play football, playing video games, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ty’Shawn is humbled and honored to serve as the 2022-2023 and 4th Mister Morris College.
Kishauna D’ondreia Goodman, a native of Mayesville, South Carolina, was born on April 10, 2001. She is the daughter of Letitia Simien-Geter, Shawn Goodman, and the proud bonus daughter of Reverend Elijah Geter. Kishauna graduated Class of 2019 from Westwood High School located in Blythewood, South Carolina and joined the Morris College family in the fall of 2019.
While striving to succeed in academics and her personal life, Kishauna maintains above a 3.0 grade point average. She serves as a Morris College Student Leader and in the Student Government Association. She is also the proud Basileus (President) of The Pi Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Kishauna is a charismatic, intelligent, joyous, and spiritual young lady who will go out of her way to help others in any way possible. Her passion for community service extends outside of Morris College as she serves as the secretary of her church and as a member of the Usher Board. Kishauna also loves to interact with the youth in her community. Recently, she planned and hosted a Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat event for the community of Wedgefield, SC. She also serves as the assistant to her mom’s up and coming jewelry business known as Lady G’s Graceful Gems.
Kishauna plans to graduate in May of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and subsequently, pursue a career with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
When she is not working at her part-time job, Kishauna loves to cook, roller-skate with her skate crew, travel, dance and listen to music, and just spend quality time with her family and friends. Her motto and all-time favorite scripture is none other than Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
