The Morris College Upward Bound Program has recently been informed that it has been re-funded by the U.S. Department of Education to serve 92 students from the target areas of Sumter, Lee and Clarendon Counties.

The 2012 Summer Component of the Morris College Upward Bound Program will begin on June 11, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the Neal-Jones Auditorium with a Parent Orientation and Information Session.

Upward Bound is a Title IV federally funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. Upward Bound's mission is to target low-income, first generation high school students and prepare them to finish high school and complete their post-secondary education by exposing them to six-weeks of intense academic endeavors during the summer on the college campus and during Saturday tutorial sessions that take place during the regular academic year.
