Morris College is proud to announce that the Morris College Learning Resource Center will be a public review site for books recommended for K-12 schools by the South Carolina State Board of Education. The books will be available for review from October 15 through November 23, 2012.

The purpose of the review is to obtain feedback from citizens regarding the proposed instructional materials that are included on the state’s adopted list. On December 12, 2012, the board will receive the adoption recommendations along with the comments from the public review.

Only student editions of recommended books will be available. Teacher editions and supplementary materials will not be included.  Publishers who offer digital materials will provide print information to provide an overview of their specific programs.

Individuals have the option to submit comments online at www.mysctextbooks.com.  A public comment form will also be available at the site. For additional information regarding the review at Morris College, please contact Janet Clayton, director of the Learning Resource Center at (803) 934-3246.
