DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS: To plan, develop and implement student personnel service programs providing for the general welfare and personal development of students. Must have a doctorate degree in student personnel administration or guidance and counseling from a regionally accredited institution and five years of experience in administering and supervising student service programs at the college or secondary school level. Salary dependent upon total training and experience. Effective July 1, 2012.
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE: To teach a variety of courses each semester in criminal justice. The position also includes student academic advising and college committee assignments. Must have Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available for employment January 2012.
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH: To teach four or five courses (12 to 15 hour credits) each semester in English. Participate in registration, student advising, committee assignments and other duties as assigned. Must have M.A. degree or Ph.D. in English from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available for employment in January 2012.
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF HEALTH SCIENCES: To teach four to five courses (12 to 15 credit hours) each semester in Health Sciences. Participate in registration, student advising, committee assignments, and other duties as assigned. Must have a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Health Sciences from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available for employment January 2012.
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF RECREATION ADMININSTRATION: To teach a variety of courses in the Recreation Administration Program. The position also includes student academic advising and college committee assignments. A Ph.D. is required from a regionally accredited institution in related fields of Parks and Recreation, Tourism and Travel, and/or Recreation Administration. Must be available for employment January 2012.
DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ENHANCEMENT PLAN PROJECT: To implement and coordinate a Quality Enhancement Project to improve reading comprehension and promote advanced writing skills for Upper Division students and to teach half-time during the fall, spring and summer terms. Must have a doctorate degree in English or Education from a regionally accredited institution and three years of teaching or administrative experience in relevant college-level work. Must be available for employment January 3, 2012.
DIRECTOR OF ASSESSMENT: To implement an institution-wide assessment program for the college. Responsibilities include developing assessment processes, collecting and analyzing data, coordinating program reviews, overseeing the cyclical assessment process, compiling and distributing reports, conducting short-term and longitudinal studies, and archival of assessment documents. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in a social science field, education, statistics, mathematics, computer information systems or related field from an accredited institution; demonstrated abilities with research methodology and statistical methods, data collection and analysis, relational databases and other application software, team work, and effective communication skills; and three years of relevant work experience in an institution of higher education. Salary dependent upon training and experience. Effective Immediately.
GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR: To develop, coordinate, and monitor all of the college’s federal and state governmental grants and prepare reports to all federal and state agencies awarding such grants effective August 1, 2011. Must have a master’s degree in an appropriate field, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, experience with budgets, excellent organizational skills, and at least three years of experience in grant writing and grants administration. Experience with Title III Grants is considered a plus. Salary dependent upon training and experience. Effective Immediately.
SECURITY OFFICER: Responsibilities would include patrolling the campus to ensure the security of persons and property, maintaining good order, investigating incidents of disruption on the campus, and controlling campus traffic. Effective Immediately.
