ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ENGLISH
To teach four or five courses (12 to 15 hour credits) each semester in English. Participate in registration, student advising, committee assignments and other duties as assigned. Must have Ph.D. in English from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available for employment in August 2008.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY
To teach a variety of laboratory-based Biology courses to majors ranging from introductory (Zoology, Botany) to Anatomy and Physiology to Genetics and Ecology. Duties also include student academic advising, college committee assignments, and working with students in undergraduate research. Must have a Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available August 2008.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF RECREATION ADMININSTRATION
To teach a variety of courses in the Recreation Administration Program. The position also includes student academic advising and college committee assignments. A Ph.D. is required from a regionally accredited institution in related fields of Parks and Recreation, Tourism and Travel, and/or Recreation Administration. Must be available August 2008.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF DEVELOPMENTAL ENGLISH
To teach courses each semester in Developmental English. The position also includes student academic advising, college committee assignments and other duties as assigned. Must have M.A. degree in English from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available August 2008.

SUPPLEMENTAL ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR
Instruct students in college level writing skills. Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred but persons with a bachelor’s degree in English or English education will be considered. Effective Immediately.

LIBRARY ASSISTANT
To implement the inventory of book collection; and resolve discrepancies between shelf list of records and the actual books in the collection. Assist with all phases of the automation of the library. Library experience desirable. Bachelor’s degree required. Effective Immediately.

CHAIRPERSON, DIVISION OF EDUCATION
To provide administrative, instructional and curriculum leadership for the college’s programs in Teacher Education, Health Science, and Recreation Administration and teach courses in the area of Education. Must have a doctorate degree in Education and three years of experience in college teaching and/or academic administration. Salary dependent upon training and experience. Must be available July 1, 2008.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY
To teach a variety of courses in Psychology. The position also includes student academic advising and college committee assignments. Must have Ph.D. in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available August 2008.

SUPPLEMENTAL MATH INSTRUCTOR
Instruct students in college level mathematics skills. Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred but persons with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education will be considered. Effective Immediately.

STUDENT CENTER MANAGER
To administer all of the facilities and functions of the college's Student Center. Must have an associate degree (bachelor degree preferred) in business administration or other relevant field and two years of experience in business management, sales, or general administration. Salary is negotiable. Effective Immediately.

HBCU-UP PROJECT MANAGER
To run a National Science Foundation - funded project. Responsibilities include: Supervising daily activities of the project, reporting to the Principal Investigator, conducting summer Enrichment Program (for high school students), travel, preparing quarterly and annual reports and collecting and aggregating program data. Must have a PhD or M.S. degree in the sciences from a regionally accredited institution. Effective Immediately.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAMS
This is a twelve-month position that directs and coordinates all aspects of the college’s programs relating to developmental skills instruction and promotes programs to improve student learning of basic skills. This position teaches two Developmental Studies classes during each regular semester and one such class during each summer session. Must have a master’s degree in Developmental Education, English, Reading or Mathematics and 3 years of experience in some aspect of Developmental Studies. Effective Immediately.

SECRETARY
To render clerical, receptionist, and general office assistance in the Learning Resources Center. Applicant must be proficient in computer skills and office automation and possess a personable attitude and experience to interact with students. Must have an Associate’s Degree in Office Automation or related field and three years of general office experience. Effective Immediately.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
To teach a variety of courses each semester in Early Childhood Education. The position also includes student academic advising and college committee assignments. Must have an Ed.D. in Early Childhood Education from a regionally accredited institution. Must be available August 2008.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF SOCIOLOGY
To teach four to five courses (12-15 credit hours) each semester in Sociology and related Social Sciences, with areas of emphasis being the family, law and society, as well as other Sociology offerings. Additional duties involve student advising, service on various college committees, and other tasks as assigned. A Ph.D in sociology from a regionally accredited institution is strongly preferred. Must be available for employment January 2008.

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
To work under direct supervision rendering custodial and grounds keeping services. Applicants must possess a valid South Carolina drivers license. Some weekend work required. ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF MATHEMATICS
To teach mathematics courses ranging in scope from college algebra to calculus series, and from abstract and linear algebra to differential equations. Applicant must possess the ability, the credentials and the desire to advise and engage undergraduate students in research and other mathematical activities. Applicant must have the background and desire to integrate computer technology into the teaching of mathematics. Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution and experience in full-time college teaching required. Must be available for employment January 2008.

RESIDENCE HALL ASSISTANT (MALE DORMITORY) (PART-TIME)
To supervise and monitor the residence hall, assist residents with all aspects of the housing program, and make periodic checks of student's rooms and general areas. Effective Immediately.
