Fall Harvest: November 20
The Morris College Fall Harvest Rally will be held on Saturday, November 20. The worship service and rally will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the college’s Garrick-Boykin Human Development Center. This year’s guest preacher is the Reverend Dr. Ronald Leon Bobo, Sr., senior pastor of West Side Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Bobo was educated in the school system of his native Detroit, MI. He earned the Bachelor of Science degree in music education from Oakland University, Rochester, MI; and the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.
He is a sought after guest preacher and/or teacher for various conventions, congresses, retreats, revivals and conferences. He has preached extensively throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, Australia and both North and South America. Among a variety of leadership roles, he is a trustee for the Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, GA.
The Morris College Fall Harvest Parade is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the corners of Harvin and Oakland streets. The route for floats, bands, and other participants will proceed north on Harvin Street to Calhoun, left on Calhoun to North Main, right on North Main to College Street, and left on College to the campus.
